Multi Drug Screen Test
The Multi Drug Screen Test is a simple all inclusive test card for the detection of 12 drugs and drug metabolities simultaneously namely; THC (marijuana), Cocaine, PCP, Opiates, Methamphetamines, Methadone, Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Oxycodone, MDMA (ecstasy) and Propoxyphene (PPX) in one simple test.
- With this one test approximately 98% of illegal recommendation of drugs and abuse are detected at the average sensitivity cutoff level established by the WHO.
- The performance is similar to laboratory screening process.
- Used for qualitative detection of several drugs and metabolites in human urine. Intended for professional use.
Test card and patient’s sample and controls should be brought to room temperature (20-30°C) prior to testing. Do not open pouch until you’re ready to carry out the test. Remove the test card from the protective pouch (if refrigerated, bring the device to room temperature before opening the pouch to avoid condensation of moisture on the membrane). In the spaces provided for identification on the test card, label with patient or control identifications, operator and date. Remove the cap to expose the absorbent tips. Immerse the sample strips into the urine specimen until it is observed that a pink color begins to migrate across each result window (approximately 30 seconds). Do not allow urine to touch the plastic device when immersing the sample strips. Replace the cap to cover the sample strips. Then place the test card on a flat surface. Read results within 3 to 8 minutes. Do not read results after 8 min. Precautions All drug screen assays are for IN VITRO use only. Urine specimens may be potentially infectious. Proper handling and discarding methods should be established. Avoid cross-contamination of urine samples by using a new specimen collection container for each urine sample.
